Hey, all! I’ve been so excited for all the views/likes/comments on the blog so far, and I can’t wait to post more content in the coming weeks! I want to start this week off by doing a makeup post – current products, and a few products that I’ve kicked to the curb. I don’t wear a ton of makeup on a daily basis because I have lash extensions and microblading. However, to make sure I don’t look like a zombie walking down the streets, I usually throw on a little concealer 🙂 Here are the products that I wear every day and on special occasion!
Anastasia Cream Contour Kit – YES!
This is definitely not something that I use on a daily basis, but it’s great to add a little extra oomph for special occasions. I’m fairly pale, so the dark colors can be a little dramatic on me… but it usually isn’t a huge problem as long as I blend it really well. I’m glad I purchased this instead of the powder kit, because I already have highlight, bronzer and blush in powder form. However, I have read that the powder kit can be better for beginners. P.S. – I saw this on sale at TJ Maxx for $15 over the holidays.. OMG!
Anastasia Brow Wiz – YES!
Ok, I promise this post isn’t a plug for Anastasia 🙂 I’ve been using this Brow Wiz for a couple years, and you would have to try to pry it out of my cold, dead hands. I used this before I got microblading, and I still use it to touch up places on my brows that have faded. The pencil is just soft enough that it goes on smooth, but not too dark. It also has a spoolie on the other end to brush out the color.
Sephora Brand Blush – YES!
This was the first Sephora brand product that I have bought, and I honestly love it. The color is SO pigmented and it stays on forever. I use the True Kiss color. Also, the price is amazing.
Dr. Jart Beauty Balm – Meh.
This was the first BB cream that I tried, and I was so excited about it and so disappointed. First, I have pretty sensitive skin and this made me break out like crazy. Also, it provided no coverage. I know BB creams are supposed to be light, but it felt like I was rubbing nothing onto my face. This is the second Dr. Jart product that I’ve bought and been disappointed in. Probably will not go back!
Revlon Photoready Concealer – Meh.
In my ever-continuing search for a good undereye concealer, I decided to try this one. I used it once and it went back in my bag. The formula, in my opinion, was too thick to use under my eyes. I felt like I was making my bags and wrinkles worse by trying to blend it in! It may be better fit for blemishes on the forehead and cheeks.
Thank you guys so much for reading – let me know what you think in the comments! Until next time…
